Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the government has extended the due dates for filing Income Tax Returns and other returns for all applicant like company, individual, LLP, proprietorship firm, etc. Now the new deadline for filing all the returns are:
- The due date for filing the income tax return for the Assessment year 2021-22 which is usually 31st, July 2021 but now extended to 30th September 2021.
- The due date for filing income tax of audit for the financial year 2020-21 which is 30th September 2021 and now it is extended to 31st October 2021
- Due-date for furnishing report from an Accountant: By a person entering into an international transaction or specified domestic transaction under section-92E of the Act for the financial year 2020-21, is 31st October 2021, which is now extended to 30th November 2021
- Due-date of furnishing return of income for the assessment year 2021-22 as per section 139(1) of the Act which is 31st October 2021 is now extended to 30th November 2021
- The due date for filing belated/revised return for the assessment year 2021-22, is required to be filed on or before 31st December 2021 is now extended and can be filed on or before 31st January 2022
- Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT): For the financial year 2020-21 required to be filed on or before 31st May 2021 but now it can be furnished on or before 30th June 2021
- The Statement of Reportable Account: For the calendar year 2020, required to be filed on or before 31st May 2021 and now it may be filed on or before 30th June 2021
- The Certificate of Tax Deducted at Source in form no. 16 required to be filed on or before 15th June 2021, may be filed on or before 15th July 2021
- Book Adjustment Statement of TDS/TCS in form no. 24G for the month of May 2021, required to be filed on or before 15th June 2021, may be furnished on or before 30th June 2021
- The Statement of Deduction of Tax: For the last quarter of the financial year 2020-21, required to be furnished on or before 31st May 2021, now can be filed on or before 30th June 2021
- The Statement of Deduction of Tax: From contribution paid by trustee of an approved superannuation fund for the financial year 2020-21, required to file their report on or before 31st May 2021, but now it can be filed on or before 30th June 2021
- The Statement of Income Paid or Credited: By an investment fund unit to its holder in FORM 64D for the financial year 2020-21, was required to be filed their report on or before 15th June 2021, and now can furnish their report on or before 30th June 2021
- The Statement of Income Paid or Credited: By an investment fund unit to its holder in FORM 64C for the financial year 2020-21, was required to be filed their report on or before 30th June 2021, and now can furnish their report on or before 15th July 2021
